Marc Jarrod

Many people ask if I always wanted to be a writer. Well in the words of the late, great, George Carlin when asked if he always wanted to be a comedian, Well, not in the womb, but after that, yes I thought about it. LOL  So no, I never really thought about writing until about 4 years ago.

My ideas form most often in my dreams.
My first book was an actually an inspiration. I always wondered, with technology reaching the Jetson’s age, what would happen if a doctor was inadvertently transported to the old west, and as a result, that technology taken away. Kind of like the Beverly Hillbillies in reverse. How would the Drysdales adapt to living in the hills with the Clampetts.

So I took pen in hand and started writing to see what happened.

After a few rewrites—actually a lot of rewrites, a publisher accepted my book, Time Eternal. Wouldn’t you know it, right in the middle of it being edited, the e-pub went out of business and I thought my writing career was over before it even took off.

I put that book on the back burner and telling myself not to be discouraged; I decided to go in another direction regarding genres. eXtasy books accepted my next book, One Dangerous Woman, a dark fantasy.

In addition to “One Dangerous Woman, I have contributed to the Sanguinary Seduction anthology series, and am working on a third book, tentatively titled, A Vampire’s Christmas Wish, all for eXtasy Books.

I also have another book, soon to be released, titled, A Heavenly Christmas with Romance Divine books

I just want to say, I am honored to be included among these esteemed writers at Seven Wicked Writers group. My good friend Stephani Hecht has been a godsend throughout my brief writing career as she gave her moral support whenever I would get discouraged.

Just like my colleague, Stephani who likes to write about angels, I like to write about the opposite. Demons and vampires. However, they are good demons and vampires. I firmly believe, no matter how bad a person is; there has to be a good side to him too. That is my inspiration that makes me write my stories.

I live in St. Louis with my wife and two cats. I work at UPS, going on 31 years and counting. OMG

I love watching sports, mainly football and baseball. I listen to classical music and oldies rock music when I am writing.
