Good afternoon everyone,

Writing is usually a solitary career. For me, my day revolves around my current WIP and doing promo for my backlist and new releases. One day can quickly blend into another when I’m working on a book. But sometimes I have a hard time concentrating on writing. I’m easily prone to distractions. LOL

That’s when having fellow writing friends comes in to play. Without Tianna to prod me, I could easily spend the day doing research or surfing the internet instead of writing. I have too many goals to accomplish this year though to allow my own curiosity to veer me off course.

So, if I want to complete Scorched to send off to NY as well as all my already contracted work, I’m going to have to stay off the internet during the day when I’m supposed to be writing. I’ll also be checking in pretty regulary with my writing pals to keep me on the straight and narrow. You know who you are… 

Several of us among the 7 Wicked Writers are aiming for NY this year, so Stephani, AJ, CR, Tianna, let’s make 2009 the best year ever. And I’ll do my best to stay off the internet when I should be writing. LOL But if I stayed off the internet entirely, I never would have found this to distract me:

I’m going to do my best to set up a schedule, with certain hours set aside for writing, promoting, and research. If I can stick to it, I’m hoping to have my NY submission completey written by May 1st and ready to submit before I leave for the Lori Foster event the first week of June. Fingers crossed I can control my need to surf the internet when the characters are being silent, especially if I want to break into NY this year.
