On a Personal Note — Her Eyes is a 2008 RT Nominee For Reviewers Choice Award

I wrote this book with Jennifer Cloud and it debuted in January of this year with Amira Press.

What’s been so interesting for me around Her Eyes is during November when I was writing His Eyes (that one’s purely all me) Ghost Whisperer started their story line on walk ins …. we have a walk in! And, this past week there was a major news item on a woman in the United States having a face transplant, which we do as well.  Organ donation is a huge gift and quite a legacy to leave. With this nomination I wanted to take the opportunity to provide some information from my website (www.Regantaylor.com) on organ donation.

Although there have been advances in medical technology and donation, the demand for organ, eye and tissue donation still vastly exceeds the number of donors. For more information see the UNOS Web site. http://www.donatelife.net

* Almost 100,000 men, women and children currently need life-saving organ transplants.
* Every 12 minutes another name is added to the national organ transplant waiting list.

* An average of 18 people die each day from the lack of available organs for transplant.

* 90% of Americans say they support donation, but only 30% know the essential steps to take to be a donor.

Sign up to be a donor (if your religious and cultural beliefs allow it!) Save a life today!

Once being in the medical field, I understand how vital organ donation is. Thank you for getting the word out.
