The Midnight Hour
“Welcome to the Midnight Hour!” a Scottish female voice rang out in a huge old Tudor living room. The Scot was a pretty blonde with pirates costume on. She eyed her four friends grinning and shaking their heads at her antics. These friends all had one common love: their love for Halloween. This Halloween they had all decided to do a séance to uphold their traditions. With much bribery and sweet talking they managed to get a disgruntled psychic named Crofy to help them.
“will you stop yelling, Katheryn?” the shy gothic friend named Spike mumbled. “Sera and Amanda can’t sit still.”
“Sera is sittin’ on her damn cat tail, yo. I ain’t doin’ nothing!” Amanda grinned secretly yanking on Sera’s fake cat tail.
Katheryn shrugged and muttered, “Trying to cheer up the wet blankie over there.”
“I can be grumpy, Miss.” Crofy spoke sharply, “I do not want to raise a spirit who was murdered so recently…”
Sera who was in a cat costume rolled her eyes and handed Crofy more money. Crofy grumbled and lit all the candles and shut the windows and door, counting the money. She needed the money, against her better judgement.
As the materials was properly laid out and everyone gathered around a low table with candles and cut out of the article about a little girl murdered by the serial killer called Dagger Rabbit. Crofy sighed and focused when the clock chimed. Halloween at Midnight was said to be when the most paranormal activity occurred. And so it did. The entire room grew cold like a frosty morning. All the girls shivered as a little ghost appeared with a broken body wearing a torn dress.
“Boo!” the ghost curtseyed, bowing her head with felt bunny ears morbidly sewn to her head.
“Are you Karen the girl killed by the Dagger Rabbit?” Crofy asked gently
“Empy likes you…” Karen whispered.
“Who?” Crofy asked with her nose abruptly bleeding. She looked around he room and everyone’s noses were bleeding. Amanda looked paler than the rest as her temples abruptly bled. Karen just stared as Amanda screamed in horror trying to stop her head from bleeding. The girls stared in horror and couldn’t move as the table rattled violently. Amanda was too quiet and two bunny ears appeared on her head. Her eyed were wide open with permanent fright. They all screamed as Crofy tried to stop the session but was blown back from the table. The ghost hopped around the room happily, hugging Crofy who struggled against the cold and slow suffocation. The others screamed and screamed trying to move from the unfolding horror they were forced to witnessed.
Katheryn managed to yell out, “Stop it! No! Why? Please don’t hurt us. P-Please…”
As Katheryn begged, the sound of a dagger being dragged on the hardwood echoed outside the door. Karen giggled, “Empy loves you in her holy temple…girls be quiet now. ”
